Recreation Task - Post-Production / Production

The people who worked  with us were George Silke, Charlee Fear, Frank Parnell, Isabel Denney-Foster, James Meadows and myself. Each person was designated certain roles. For Frank, isabel and i, we were performing in the recreation. Charlee was  directing, George and James  were both on the camera and editing. As  there  were a lot of people in our group, we took it upon ourselves to complete the whole song instead of a minute. Isabel also made the story board for the recreation and carefully analysed  each shot used and the timing of each shot so we knew which part was whos and where to stop and start  filming. We tried  to correlate the outfits as best we could and we ended up with similar looks. The denim jack i wear is baggy, where as in the video it is tight and well fitted on Kanye  West. We also had to adjust the clothing worn by Isabel as the clothing in the video is not appropriate in  the school environment.

During Post - Production, our editors worked hard to match each shot to the timings. Luckily, our story board was well laid out and all we had to do was match the lips  to the song. The editors took it as section. My section, Isabel's section and Frank's section. These sections included  just sticking our characters in, then filling it with the other sections. Unfortunately, we found out we were missing some shots, so we decided to just replace those shots with duplicates. This sorted out the problem. The black bars in the editing was easily  done in the editing panel on Premiere Pro.

Recreation Task

The music video that my group have chosen to recreate is four Five Seconds by Rihanna, Kanye West and Paul McCartney. our group is of a large size, we have chosen to recreate the entire video. We are planning to mirror each shot as well  as we can. The  lighting is going to be a problem to recreate as a lot of it was done it post production. As we are not experienced in post production software, we will find it hard to copy the lighting exactly.

Lip Sync Activity

This is our Lip sync video. Myself, George Garrity, George Silke, Frank Parnell and Isabel all took part in the lip sync activity. The song we chose was Chain by Fleetwood Mac.

The song we chose to do was The Chain by Fleetwood Mac. This is because it is an easy song to replicate. It also contains a woman singing along side the man which is helpful due to having a girl in the group. With just a male song, it wouldn't look very good as it would be disjunctive to the task.
